Blocking Users?

Does anyone know how to block users? I keep getting these Chinese writing comments and when you click on the name of the person leaving it, you are directed to a pornagraphic site. Disgusting. How insensitive of a place to be posting that crap anyway, on a blog dedicated to her dead baby!

Do you have word verification on your comments? I guess I'll know in a minute. Other than that, I can't think of anything. Maybe report it to blogger. That's crappy. I'm sorry!

Yeah- you need to put word verification on your comments. I'm sure that's it! Do it in your settings. :)

Or moderate your comments - I've had very few ppl bother when they know I won't post their smut. :)

Yikes! That is seriously disgusting. Do you allow anonymous comments? If you try the other stuff and you still have a problem, I know you can block anons somewhere in your dashboard under the comments heading. I don't allow anons and I've been fortunate not to have any nasty comments... or porn. Good luck!

Yup, It's happened to me too. I put the moderation back up on my blog and deleted the posts in my comments by that "person."

Yikes! I haven't had that happen, sorry I can't give you advice. What a disgusting thing for some one to do. Hopefully you've got it figured out and it won't happen anymore.

I got one of those chinese ones before and I deleted it. I think word verification is supposed to help with spam messages but if it keeps happening then moderate.

I got those one time, and I believe you can report them. Also, for the time being, you can put on that code verification.

I know..it's so frustrating to get all those comments. I had to go to each one to delete.

Wow. That's brutal! I haven't had that....yet....that I know of. Thanks for asking so we can all learn how to prevent it (when I figure that settings thing out....)
